Kazak handknotted by master weavers of the Turkman tribes in the northern province of Afghanistan. Using pur vegetable dyes each rug has taken between 4-6 months to weave on a handloom and contains around 560,000 knots per square meter.

Made by Baluchi tribesman on the Northern provinces of Afghanistan. Each rugs is individual and depicts tribal designs taking 3-4 months to make on a traditional handloom.

Traditional 1880's Ziegler design with large decorative motifs. Each rug has approximately 500-700 knots per running meter. Pile is 100% Twist-pile Ghazni wool. The dyes are natural vegetable dyes.

ANDKHOI

Handmade by master weavers in the tribal regions of Andkhoi province in Northern Afghanistan. The designs are varied ,each village having their own distinctive motifs. The ground colours are mostly deep red. Rugs from Andkhoi province are mostly 500-750 knots per running metre.

Handmade by Turkman weavers from the Andkhoi province of Northern Afghanistan. Each rug is individual and contains 550-750 knots per running meter.

KILIM

Outstanding Quality

Hand Knotted in 100% wool pile and made by tribal weavers in central Afghanistan near the Bamiyan Valley. Each rug has an average  knot density of 300-500 knotts per runnning meter. A 6x4 ft rug takes up to 3-4 months to make on a handloom.

Made by hand in the tribal regions of Lahore in Pakistan. The Bukhara design is world renoun depicting the "Mauri Gul", which is an Octagon shape or "Elephant's foot" design originating from the Bukhara region of Central Asia. 100% wool pile, having a knot density of 200 knots per square inch!

Fine Afghan Khan

These rugs are handmade on a loom by women in Afghanistan using wool and vegetable dyes.  Available in 5x3.

NEEDLEPOINT

These rugs are classic 16th Century Fench designs in an array of soft decorative colours. Hand knotted in inner Mongolia, on average an 8ft x 5ft can take upto 6 months to weave on a hand loom.
